Daniel Gaitan is the multimedia content producer and reporter for Life Matters Media, a Chicago-based nonprofit providing news about end of life-related issues, and a health and science contributor to Reuters Health.
He previously served as an award-winning general assignment reporter for the Kenosha News in southeastern Wisconsin.
His reporting and photojournalism have been highlighted by The Associated Press, The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, The Chicago Tribune and NPR affiliates in Chicago and San Francisco.
Gaitan will be featured in CNBC’s “American Greed” this month for his reporting on a historic hospice fraud case.
In 2013, he earned his master’s from DePaul University in Chicago. In 2012, he was the proud recipient of the Carlos Hernandez Meritorious Journalism Scholarship.
