Some of Wisconsin’s most prominent Republicans — including House Speaker Paul Ryan — turned out for Friday’s Lincoln Day Dinner.
Attendees highlighted the growing influence of Wisconsin Republicans on local and national affairs during the event held in the University of Wisconsin-Parkside ballroom.
“I’m so proud of what we’ve done with the Republican Party right here in Kenosha County … Now, we compete. Now, we’re proud. Now, we’re electing people on the School Board, on the County Board,” said Ryan, a Janesville Republican, representing Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District, which includes Kenosha County.
